About Me:
I thought it was all random, this life walk, until March 24, 1989. Then, standing on the tarmac in Valdez, Alaska, a question flashed through my mind: I know enough to make a difference. Do I care enough? My life flashed before me (I was only 35 so it didn't take long). I saw how a young girl from Wisconsin had come to get a masters and doctorate in marine oil pollution and then to live in Cordova, AK, ground zero for the Exxon Valdez oil spill. I committed on the spot to take a stand to shift the world off oil. And the journey deepened. The real Secret is: it's not random, but it can be fun!

Ultimate Civics

I'm teaching Ultimate Civics: the 21st century civil rights movement (Human vs. Corporate rights) to high school students at The Thacher School in Ojai, CA. It's a 10-week course that teaches students about a sustainable future (what is that). We basically need… Continue

Riki,

I'm constructing a certified green building in Oregon that uses no fossil fuels in it's operations, which happen to be carbon-negative. Please take a look at www.independencestation.com and let me know if you would be interested in helping me get the word out about this landmark green building. I'm looking for folks that would like to live in the #1 rated LEED building in the world. What do you think?

Thanks.

Steven
