I've about given up on the idea of spurring a good conversation or any kind of action out of this group. I'll keep visiting and posting ideas and comments from time to time, but my energy is going more and more into local projects and other conversations. Depressing, because this seems like such a good forum for that kind of exploration.

Hey Jeffery V,

Hope you don't mind that I snipe at you posts from time to time. I'm a bit of a contrarian. Love that you keep putting interesting things up there. Bothered that you get so few comments. Seems a bit facebooky to me.

Ah, the deep end always leaves plenty of room to swim around :) And, there are always lots of others out here--with whom to share the experience! Thanks for the welcome. I'm so glad to be here with you all.

Dear Jster,

Hey, someone just asked to be my friend on the Bioneers website. I had forgotten all about this. Do you use it at all/often? Perhaps I am too old to blog and IM?

Love, Carolyn

EEW. Wanna hear something gross? Scientists from the University of Minnesota have successfully created a beating heart in a lab. They used a process called "decellularization" in which the hearts were taken from newborn rats and stripped of their cells. The resulting non-living mass, called an extracellular matrix or ECM, contains no cells and therefore will not be rejected by its new owners. New muscle and endothelial cells are then injected into the ECM and stimulated electrically.

When will they realize we're supposed to Die?
