It's painting of the seed pod of a giant trumpet vine. It's a bit abstract and is sitting sideways. It hangs in my living room vertically. I thought the seed pods were a good metaphor for Million Ideas for Peace for peace begins with each of us and grows in myriad ways. It's the culmination of a lot of very small steps forward, rather than stopping or eradicating something.
I know exactly what you mean about "diversity, cultural exchange, open for change politics, ethnic foods, music & art " Seattle is a nice city and has a mix of both city culture and nature. People are a bit more formal here. I miss the "everyone is welcome to everything -regardless of age, profession etc. that is a part of the personality of the bay area, but there are other things here I enjoy, like I can see Lake Washington from my place here and my kids are nearby in WA and OR. Take care. It's all good!
Lucy,
I enjoyed viewing the Million Ideas for Peace. I believe real peace begins when one is not fearful because of diversity whether it be ethnic race, religion or gender.
Hello!
With so many members from California and New Mexico, you seem to be the closest to my neck of the woods. I have traveled to Seattle alot for business, I have been to every Garden Center over there, as well as the Northwest Flower and Garden Show at the Convention Center a few times! My Son and I love to come over and go Downtown to eat and check out the city. He likes the diverse population over there. North Idaho is not very diverse. It will be fun to hear your thoughts! I love the new group you formed.
Take care,
Jodee
