- I got my GreenMBA from New College of California (now Dominican University). What I appreciate most about adding business skills to my English and rhetoric academic repertoire, is the opportunity to leverage social and environmental change using language that everyone understands - commerce.
I appreciate the balance of micro-sustainability activism by directly engaging individuals, and macro-activism by affecting change on a larger level - influencing policy within the government and consulting with large-scale corporations and businesses.
In January of 2007, I co-founded All Edibles. All Edibles designs and installs landscapes for east bay residents using entirely edible plants (vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers). We educate our clients on the ecological and social implications of food production and distribution, and empower them through practical skills allowing them to become more self-sustainable.
I am also actively involved with: City Slicker Farms (West Oakland), Food Policy Working Group (Oakland), Sustainable Living Roadshow (Bay Area), and the Nomad Cafe (Oakland).
