Dorisse,
I hope you have a great meeting tonight. I actually live in New York (Croton on Hudson). My husband and I are visiting Asheville this summer and if it really and truly is the dream community that I have read about, we are planning to move there within the year. I am very active in the environmental community in my town and would love to participate when I get there. So, for now, I'll just be a fly on the wall and follow your group and if I can help from afar in any way, I'd be glad to.

Dorisse,
We've spoken a couple of times on the phone (ginger @ bioneers). Anyway, the reason I'm writing is that my mother's cousin (Laurey Masterton) lives in Asheville and has a great natural restaurant (Laurey's Catering and gourmet to go • 67 Biltmore Avenue • Asheville • NC • 28801). I've never met her, if I did I was a young child and remember nothing of the occasion. I thought she might be a good connection for you. Sometimes my mom will mail me her e newsletter. This one had info about her new bee keeping ventures.
Hope that this makes for a good connection. Maybe I'll come visit Asheville sometime, stumble upon the active Bioneers, the happy people, and the family members I don't know!

Best, Ginger

Yay, and thanks Jack for being part of all of this. We had a great time last night at Asheville Green Drinks and some new interested folks showed up. I am also looking forward to our meeting next week!

Congratulations Dorisse. Our group is only the sixth newest and already we are in the top four most popular communities. (Not that this means anything ) I am looking forward to our meeting next week.

Thanks Dorisse I will do that. Hopefully I will make it to the next meeting.

Question, I could not get a photo to upload. As you can see I am a white sweater not a face. For some reason I cannot delete or change

Hey Dorisse! Absolutely lets get together. Last night I was very wiped out from the weekend -- much coolness to be wiped out about.

Early this week is pretty busy for me, maybe Thursday. Meanwhile my front yard is giving me spring fever!

Shoots, Sistah!
Too much fun, huh!? Very glad that Joy is in cahoots with someone who obviously loves to smile
and take men with the ten pound grain of salt they need.

Aloha, Dorisse!
I would love to be able to attend aa Ashevillian
biohoedown, but am nervous about the drive.. Did see that the Swiss have recently marketed a for-real
"undawatah" car, but unless I get a golden ticket(Wonka-style) I'm afraid it may be out of my price range. Plus I have a near phobic fear of giant squid...
especially under 200 feet (depth of water, not length
of squid) Have considered Amtrak, but they don't seem too reliable.. Nobody is returning my calls regarding departure times from Hilo....

Thanks Dorisse and Joy for hosting our first Bioneers event in Asheville. Amazing people attended; the films were inspiring; the total lunar eclipse was wonderful to watch with this community. I look forward to our next meeting.
