What have you appreciated about election season so far?
With the primary season behind us, and what I consider to be one of the most important elections of my lifetime (which is longer than I like to admit), it's time to take stock before we forge ahead.
Without getting into our own personal political opinions and preferences, I'd like to hear what people have appreciated about this primary election season?
For me, it has been gratifying to see so many people get excited and involved. I'm delighted so many younger people are voting. And overall, I feel this was a more substantive election campaign for my party. I appreciate the spirit of healthy competition.

I appreciate the involvement of every state. When so many states rushed to move up their primaries, who knew that the June would find candidates campaigning in South Dakota and the media spotlight on Montana! It's been a lesson in geography and culture and politics for everyone, and now, when some delegate in a funny looking hat gets up to the microphone at the convention and intones, "The grrrrrrrrrrrreat state of Podunk casts 13 1/2 votes forrrrrrrrrrr..." that will actually resonate with other moments in the process.
Earlier this spring, I was in a teleconference with people from around the country, and the icebreaker we did was to each say when our state's primary was (or would be), and something about the mood in our state. Very moving and effective.
And with this being a primary, each state also got to shed its role as Red State or Blue for a moment. Didn't matter.
